Cookie Policy

The cookies and tracking technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.

All policies

Effective July 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember information about your visit. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and SDKs. In this policy we refer to all of these as "cookies".

2. The cookies we use

We group cookies into four categories so you can make an informed choice in our cookie banner.

  • Strictly necessary — keep you signed in, remember your cart, and protect against fraud. These cannot be switched off.
  • Functional — remember preferences such as language, region, and currency.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the marketplace is used so we can improve it.
  • Marketing — measure the performance of our campaigns and personalise messages.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by trusted partners that help us run Afrotierre, including payment processors, shipping providers, analytics tools, and embedded media. These partners process information under their own privacy policies.

4. Managing your choices

You can accept, reject, or customise non-essential cookies from the cookie banner that appears on your first visit, or at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. You can also clear or block cookies from your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry consensus on how to respond to this signal, so Afrotierre does not currently change its behaviour based on it. You can manage tracking through the cookie banner.

6. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy as the cookies we use change. The latest version is always available on this page.
