Return Policy

How returns, refunds, and exchanges work for buyers and sellers across the marketplace.

1. Return window

You can request a return within 14 days of receiving your order, unless the seller publishes a longer window on the product page. Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging.

2. Items that cannot be returned

  • Made-to-order, customised, or personalised items.
  • Perishable goods, intimate items for hygiene reasons, and digital downloads once delivered.
  • Items marked "final sale" on the product page.
  • Items returned after the return window has closed or in a condition that prevents resale.

3. How to start a return

Open the order in your dashboard and choose "Request a return". Describe the issue and add photos where helpful. The seller has 3 business days to respond with a return address or alternative resolution.

4. Return shipping

If the return is due to a defect, the wrong item, or damage in transit, the seller covers return shipping. For change-of-mind returns the buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the seller says otherwise.

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping method. We can only confirm receipt once tracking shows delivery to the seller.

5. Refunds

Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 business days of the seller confirming receipt of the return. Original shipping is refunded only when the return is due to a defect or seller error.

6. Exchanges

Exchanges are handled as a return followed by a new order so that stock and pricing remain accurate. Contact the seller through messaging if you'd like to coordinate an exchange.

7. Disputes

If you and the seller cannot agree on a resolution, escalate the case from the order page within 30 days of delivery. Afrotierre will review the evidence from both parties and decide based on this policy and the listing details.
